Are you looking for Tyre Labelling for your vehicle?
The revised EU tyre labelling guidelines came into effect on 1st May 2021. Therefore, if you are looking to buying new car tyres, you should know about the updated set of guidelines.
At We R Tyres & Alloys, we only stock products that strictly adhere to the latest EU tyre labelling guidelines.
Revised EU Tyre Labelling Guidelines
Wet Grip
The wet grip rating of a car tyre will now range from A to E. This means that tyres with an A rating will offer brilliant short-braking performance on wet tracks, while those with an E rating will have poor short-braking performance.
Noise Emission
The noise emission rating will have an ABC grade per the latest guidelines. Tyres with an A noise emission grade will emit the least external noise, while those with a B grade will emit the most. Tyres with a C noise emission rating are completely banned.
Fuel Efficiency
Like the wet grip rating, the fuel efficiency rating will also range from A to E. Tyres with an A rating have low rolling resistance and excellent mileage. On the other hand, the models with an E rating will have a high rolling resistance and offer poor mileage.
Additional Guidelines
Apart from all the guidelines, there are a few additional changes that you should keep in mind when buying new car tyres Sunderland. These include:
- Nordic tyres will now have a stalagmite symbol.
- Tyres that are specially designed for snow will have a 3PMSF symbol.
- All the tyres will have a QR code from where you can get all the information and verification details from the EU database EPRL.
We at We R Tyres & Alloys only sell tyres with original EU Labels and best ratings.
